So, we continue the story of Job. Usually, we talk about Job 1&2, and the end when God restored Job. We think of Job's 3 friends as evil, but we never understand why.
So in Job 3, Job is asking for a break. Nothing is working for him, and wondering when it's going to finally go his way. Then in Job 4, Eliphaz starts talking about how maybe, just maybe Job sinned.
I'm not saying there aren't consequences for our actions. There may be. I'm saying it doesn't always make sense on this side of heaven.
Some try to explain it away by talking about a past life, and if junk continues to happen in our lives it's because we sinned too much in a past life.
Others just try to say that there is no God, because if that happened it would make more sense to us.
We don't know why. Sometimes the junk works out for our good, and sometimes were left suffering. I think I'll try to save comments for later. Mostly because I can't explain it right now. Might be done a little later.
